brown boots and competing

Whoops I too have got suckered into the buying a new pair of boots!! You cant really say no to £150!! Plus a zip has gone on my bromonts, was easy to talk myself round. I'm hoping the Oxford brown will go with my grey comp jacket!

Aaah sod what is supposed to match, if you like it, wear it - I wear a navy jacket with tan/brown boots (and they are the exact colour of my stallion!

Sometimes I even wear beige breeches with it

I think it looks fine, and I always get compliments on my boots - they are very "Meredith" apparently (now, if only my lower leg was...)

Go shopping, you know you want to...

I have both brown and black Ariat Bromonts. I much prefer my brown ones so I ride in these and keep my black ones for competing, as I didn't think itwas the done thing to compete in brown boots and navy jacket.

However after reading this post I am converted! I jumped at BCA yesterday in my brown boots.

I have a serious thing for brown boots I love them.
I only wear them with tweed though, and schooling always for schooling .

^^ exactly this. I always thought that it was navy and black that was a bit of a no-no. Thought the rule was black with black, navy with brown.

Just goes to show though that you've just got to wear what you like and what you feel happy in, cos whatever you choose, someone will think there's a rule you're breaking!

Mine have arrived this morning.....look lovely but are black but does say on the order oxford so am awaiting a reply from them. Haven't yet tried them on but hoping they still have my size in brown!

Just had a response from them already (super quick) and they are collecting the black boots on monday and sending out the brown ones at the same time very good customer serivce!
