I have a budget of around £100 and need some new brown riding boots. Have been looking at some toggi calgarys but am not sure! Anyone got any recommendations? What do you wear? X

I have the calgary boots. Had them for 4 years and i really like them.
Comfy, warm and i love riding in them.. Only drawback is you cant go wading through deep puddles because of the zip.
Need replacing now tho as the zips recently went. This is probably due to me just shoving my feet in before undoing the zips!!

If for riding in I got a fantastic brown pair of HKM riding boots zipped back lovely dark brown from eBay for £100 do a search they may still have some.

Nothing to recommend - but I wouldn't go for the Calgarys, I had them for about 8 months and although they were really comfy, the quality was horrendous. The stitching and the zips were starting to go within about 6 weeks!

I had calgary's - you will pick up new ones on eBay for 75 or so - but zip went on mine after 4 months (I am tough on boots though) but found stitching near sole was starting to go too

I had canyons, they actually did well for me and I had no problems with the lining. Had the calgarys and really hated them, found them heavy, stiff and uncomfy. Have been looking at suffolks, they look really comfy, but havent tried them

I've had 2 pairs of Calgarys: first pair the zip broke after less than a month so sent them back and got a replacement pair which are still going strong over a year later with no signs of weakening. I'm pleased in that respect but not sure I'd get another pair next time round to be honest as heard too many similar stories.

Have also got a pair of Ariat Windermeres which are super comfy to wear but I don't like riding in them much as find they slip down my leg too easily.

Really like the Mark Todd country boots and something from the Tuffa range will be on my shopping list next time round.

Happy shopping :)

I think im gonna take a look at the canyons, i also like the mark todds! Theyve popped up a few times, i called in to robinsons to try on the calgarys n thought they were quite stiff.
Thanks for all the advice i shall continue my hunt :) any more advice or recommendations welcome.

Toggi Canyons :) mine lasted me a good couple of years of constant wearing before they died :( Just bought some Tuffa suffolks (the proper riding ones not chunky soles) and apart from should of gone a size smaller, I love them!

Very slightly over your budget, but I saw these in the tack shop last week and thought they looked really smart. I then saw somebody wearing them, and they seemed to fit well, and looked really nice.
