Call me old fashioned but I like brown tack. I am currrently looking for a Kieffer dressage saddle and trying to find one in havannah is like looking for hens teeth! I can pay extra, order one and wait 16 weeks or get a black one tomorrow.

Why are most dressage saddles made in black now? Would you mix the colour of your tack ie have a bridle in one colour and your saddle in another or does all your tack match.

No - I'd like a brown one too. Even more difficult cos I can probably only afford a synthetic one and they're nearly all black.
I don't like mixed tack either.
Have you considered a Stubben? Some gorgeous old brown Stubbens come up on ebay from time to time.
 
My tack doesnt all match.

Most kieffer saddles are black because they are german and germans dont do brown tack! Its an english thing.

I like brown tack too
 
my dressage saddle is black but my showing saddle is brown - and I only do matchibg tack!

My friend has a gorgeous brown saddle, they're out there!
 
I'm looking for a brown dressage saddle atm too! Anyone got one with large knee rolls like Albion SLK or Bates Innova?? Med / Med Wide 18 inch... Can have one for xmas but there is a price limit. Would have to be second hand.
 
My dressage saddle is brown. Nothing off the peg fitted my horse, so since I had to order one M2M I got to chose what colour I wanted. My saddler was surprised that I chose brown but does agree that it suits my horse much better than black.
