I am talking F in-hand showing and I don't know whether to get a black in hand bridle or a brown one. He is a chestnut arab X welsh, with a thick white blaze.

Also Plain browband, Dimante, or ribbon

and Where can I get a decent bridle thats not going to break the bank

I'm planning to do inhand showing with my 7 month colt next year, I've bought a lovely bridle which is havana as he has bay colouring on his head so it would best compliment him. I went for the Ascot bridle in the end but most seem to be around the £30 mark.

Brown tack is correct for showing, also I prefer brown :p I have a chesnut tb and brown suits him so I would think it suits your neddie too :)

My friend shows partbred Arabs at County level and she has coloured browbands for hers on havanna bridle. She wears tweed jacket, blue velvet Beagler hat, lemon shirt, beige trousers and navy/red tie. Hope this helps

Can I hijack this for one second and ask if you'd even go for a brown bridle on a loud back leopard spot colt? I was going to go for black on him, but if brown is correct should I go for that?

I would say that it should always be brown for showing, unless you have a completely black horse. If yours is mostly white (albeit with black spots) then I would still go for brown.
