Hi,
We are going to be showing our 13h coloured pony this summer, mainly local shows but at least one county show planned too. We have always used brown girths with our brown WH/show saddle, but on a whim today I bought a white girth as some people had suggested this would be better for higher level showing. Any opinions/advice would be greatly appreciated please :) Our pony is blue and white, and all white in the girth area.
thanks! xxx

A girth matched to the colour of your horse was always the norm in the "olden days" - e.g. a white girth on a grey tends not to "cut the horse in half". Suppose it depends on what colour your "coloured" is in its girth area!

I think either is fine I think it just depends which gives the better overall look I would maybe take a few pictures of him in both and decide which looks best.
