Brownbread horse rescue centre is based in East Sussex, they rely totally on donations and help from unpaid volunteers. They have an open day on September 12th and it would be great if they had a good show of people supporting them. The open days give people a chance to meet like minded people, lots of horses to meet and greet, pony rides for kiddies, lots of tea and cakes etc, and its all for a very good cause.
Having recently been up to the centre (I'm a field officer for them), they have just rescued some stallions from London, the poor things are emaciated, they will all be at the centre for the open day and with any luck will be looking a lot better than they did last week.
They also have horses available for re-homing, and are always on the look out for new volunteers and field officers.
The post code is TN33 9NX. The open day starts at 11am. It costs a few pounds entry fee, which goes towards the horses.
