I'm just wondering how many people browse the horse sale websites with no thought of actually buying? I tend to have a look at one site (best not say which!) most days but rarely open any ads, but my two year old has had nearly 70,000 hits and only one phone call, that seems like one hell of a lot of people not in the market.

Have you ever browsed a site and ended up buying a horse when you weren't really looking for one?!

Im always on donedeal, which is where irish horses go up for sale and iv no intention of buying anything so i dunno why i cant stop looking!

I dont a certain game woth sweets takes up most of my free time but I do wish I got 1p per hit for my ad as I would have what im asking for him already lol

I am always on donedeal too! I check it far too often in case I miss something - but I'm not buying. It is the most addictive site ever-everything's on it! I reckon pretty much every Irish equine for public sale is on it. It steals my time!

I have!!

I was browsing coloured contacts, just seeing if there was any "cow ponies" I would draft into my "fantasy yard" when I spotted Indie. 2 months later she was still up for sale so mum said call up. Long story short she arrived on our yard unseen from Cumbria and is so far proving to be the best £600 we have spent! would sell my kidneys before her

Haha I wish I had a proud for every time my advert had been viewed too :)
She wouldn't be for sale then and I could have a bloody good holiday!!

I like horsey window shopping, I have two horses and no intention of having anymore. I like looking on preloved :) and on the World Horse Welfare website.

I browse all the time, everybody loves window shopping.

It's also a very efficient way of finding out if anyone you now is selling their horse!

However as soon as I was in the market to buy trawling through ads became really stressful. Evidently it is only fun if you arent going to buy anything.

This. When you have to actually find something it quickly becomes a nightmare, looking through the same ads over and over hoping for something else to pop up. It's much better when you don't need to buy anything! (I just want to then! lol)

I browse continually, I like to keep a close eye and feel on the market.
Then as and when I am looking to buy (which isn't often) I usually move pretty quickly.
I actually have an eye on a mare at the moment, but I'm really not in the position to take on another, which is a real shame as I'd be in the car to view her otherwise!

I kind of look at kids ponies but luckily they are a fortune up here since she already has 4 in a queue waiting for her to ride :o. If I found a really good standard Shetland size pony she could ride between Titchy and the as yet unbroken Sec A it would be hard to resist.

Put Dolly on one yesterday and spent the next hour browsing through all of the local horses... just to be nosey and see if i recgonised any :o:D
