The chop!!!

Not been on here for a while but in previous post i told you how he used to cock his leg everywhere and was really quite aggressive toward other dogs.

He was booked in for last monday but after being taken in he decided that wasnt his day so started doing what the vets called 'cage guarding' and i had to pick him up as he just kept growling and being threatening toward staff.

So today we took him in and they sedated him while i stayed and he was good as gold.
He had his op but he was still bleeding slightly so hes now home all bandaged up and feeling very sorry for himself and will be back there tomorrow to see how he is.

Liverpool has been really warm tonight, so hes a bit wrestless with this and must be in pain poor boy.

But im sure iv done the right thing.

Sorry for the essay x

Poor Brucie, hope he is feeling better soon.

Diesel was neutered earlier this year and it stopped him cocking his leg everywhere. He was never dog aggressive but I do know they say dont expect it to cure it. My last dog was neutered and he was fine with other dogs unless they kicked off then he just wanted to kill them.

Thanks for your reply.

Im realy hoping it stops him cocking his leg, thats the main thing. I can cope with his aggression to other dog as he doesnt meet to many where i live, and being a bull dog he doesnt do much walking to meet any!

We would ideally love him to settle around other dogs and animals so he can go out with my sister and mums dogs for walks, but i dont mind aslong as hes here and happy with us :D

Hes my baby i adore the little sod.

Poor boy is up to wal with the parrot though. He's finally learnt to ignore him lol x

No he has no swelling but because he was bleeding after the op they have put him on anti biotics just to be on the safe side.

Im really pleased we have had him done just praying the cocking his leg will stop. They said it will take a few weeks for all the testosteron(sp) to be out of his system, but he hasnt wee'd in the house since being done

Diesel was 2yrs old when he had his op so was a well developed boy;) He never cocked his leg in the house unless another dog came in and then it was like normal rules didnt apply. No repeat of this behaviour now and an added bonus when I take him out last thing at night he used to do about 5-6 wees and now its only one. So with a bit of luck your boy will be the same.
