Bruised heels

I have a 16.2hh TB and the other day whilst exercising my mums horse which is a 17.3 shier stummbled and crashed into the back of my horse, subsequently he has gone lame and a large redish purple bruise is visable on the bulb of his hoof. My horse has quite bulbus heels and he is very sore to touch where the bruise is and also between the two heels he is sore.

Is there anyway to help aid recovery from this any quicker than just leaving it to heal on its own. Does aaanyone know of any ways to bring the bruising out faster? Ive heard Arnica gel is good but any advise would be useful? and greatly appreciated!!

You could get some equine arnica pills too to help it.

You do not need Equine Arnica just go to a chemist and buy some.

You could also hose the heels.
