Bruised heels?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me and tell me why the bulb of the heels on all four of my horses feet are a weird brownish red colour? It looks like it could be bruises but I'm not sure. He is turned out 24/7 and the field is very wet and muddy so I think it may be thrush? I will try and post a picture but I'm new here so will have to figure out how hahaha
 
looks like thush to me ... dry the heels off with a towel and apply sudecrem. (unless your competing FEI then dont - its a banned substance)

I tend to recommend either Red horse field paste or honey heel ... its zinc oxide based (sames as sudecrem but much stronger)
