Bruised oats - do i soak?

Is there any need to soak bruised oats or are they ok to feed as they are??

They are fine to feed as they are. You can also feed oats whole. Im not sure why people think they need to soak them. Soaking removes some nutrients and reduces the starch content but if you are worrying about feeding too much starch then you should either reduce the quantity or not feed them at all!
