I’m going to be buying some boots for my loan pony. He doesn’t usually wear boots but i want to protect his legs and my BHS exams advised me to :).
I want him to wear them for lunging and jumping... would tendon boots or brushing boots be better for both? And can I use the same type for boots for both activities?

If you want to use the same ones for both I’d probably go for tendon boots. Might be worth looking into overreach boots too, depending what you’ll be doing. I’ve seen a few nasty injuries from overreaching...

You'd need fetlock boots on the hinds with tendon boots on the front.

To be honest, either brushing or tendon boots would do the job you need depending on how big you're jumping. The main difference between them is that tendon boots usually offer additional protection if they were to strike themselves while jumping and they're open fronted so that the horse can feel if it touches a pole.
