Brushing boots?

I always work horses in boots of some shape or form depending on horse and type of work. This is a personally preference off mine. It helps to prevent any knocks.
My old share horse needed brushing boots as he brushed badly, you could hear the boots rub and see the wear on inside of both boots, hind worse then fore. So to him they make a huge difference.
Worked on many yards that all horses have to be worked in boots of some degree. Some even turned out in boots to protect legs while in field being horses.

I don't bother with boots unless jumping. My horse rips them off his legs with his teeth if left unattended so he's not a fan either.

I always stick a pair of boots of some description on the front just to protect tendons and from knocks .. you never quite know when your horse is going to be silly so better to be safe than sorry!

I used them over summer/autumn but have stopped currently as unless I know that every bit of mud has been removed from his legs I am reluctant to use boots as they could rub on muddy legs
