Any tips to do this as quickly as possible?

I have one of the horsey furminator things (yellow and excellent- can't for the life of me remember what it's called!)

Have been grooming for 10mins in the AMs before work and if he's dry giving him a proper brush down in the evening.

He's sweating an awful lot when we go out (and his clip still hasn't grown back fully- had a high trace) and I want him to be as comfortable as possible!

Forgot how itchy it is! Most irriating when it gets in (ahem) sensitive areas!

Those round metal curry combs for me but one that you can unhook to a blade. They then don't get clogged and flex to the curve of the horse...

Rubber curry comb all over everyday for 20mins and finish off with a magic brush, been doing it everyday for nearly a week and shes nearly got her full summer coat and I've got sore arms!:)

I use a blade too. Although my boy was moulting like no one's business, but he seems to have almost stopped now and still has so much hair to lose!

Oh I didn't realise they undo! I wondered what on earth you do with them lol!

Will definitely give that a go, thank you all- rubber curry comb doesn't seem to do any good- is it possible I'm doing it wrong? (Can't think if more than one way to use them though!)

He started moulting like crazy and suddenly stopped- like he's hanging onto it for some reason.

Brushed my YOs 30yo old boy yesterday- his whole winter coat came off in one groom! Why can't mine be like that lol?!

That blade thingy !! One of the horses at our yard has cushings, and it may be time to get Henry the Hoover out, poor old girl.

I use those blades too, only thing that really works, curry combs don't do much in comparison IMO. Although I fine clipped my horse right before he started moulting, he's now moulting tiny little clipped hairs and I avoid touching his coat as much as possible :o I'm just bathing him twice a week and scrubbing him with a brush, the little hairs can't attack me then!

I use a rubber curry comb and suffer the inevitable sore arms, I find the metal blades can cut the hair rather than drag it out, so useless for my hairy monster!!! :(
