Brushing teeth.

Hi.My 7 year old has stained teeth.As i am new to horses this may sound like a stupid question but is it possible to actually brush the teeth with a tooth brush and paste.I used to do that to my mastiff with a certain dog toothpaste.She enjoyed it i'm sure.My horse is ok with me opening his mouth and checking the teeth.....if not how could i clean the teeth.

You can certainly do it, but most horses have stained teeth, it's natural, so I really wouldn't bother for that reason. If he gets feed caught in his teeth, that is a different matter.
