I emailed them (along with the BHS) for their comments as I can't believe that thisi s an image they want to be associated with.Robert of course, is part of the most senior showjumping family. They have not yet had the courtesy to reply.Perhaps other people could try.

I doubt the BSJA will be bothered- after all its just one of their members, regardless of his name. And the abuse didnt happen during a BSJA competition.

The BHS are a different matter because of what they stand for and do- hopefully they will do something pro active and appropriate.

I do hope that those who host demos from the parellis will think twice in future though. Horses have a tough enough life anyway without people like that actually teaching others to use ropes and methods like that in a public arena

You need to give both organisations time to reply. The BHS have been flooded - I know for a fact.

Can't think that the BSJA will be bothered though as this was not at a BSJA event.

I agree-although they should be.
A member bringing the sport into disrepute for somehting as serious as *possable* abuse is yet another nail in the coffin for showjumping's public image.

Someone (I think MrsM??) posted in CR the other week that she'd emailed the BSJA ages ago asking some membership questions (ie would raise revenue!! ;) ) and they never replied to her!!

So I wouldn't hold you breath on getting a response.

so a spokesman says, for the Parelli camp "We do feel that we made some mistakes and want to apologise for them."
Maybe give the horse a carrot?
