BSJA confusion?!! help me!?

Right, so i'm 16, 17 in april, my horse, Boston is 15.1hh and i'd like to affiliate with British Showjumping. :)

i've looked on the website a million times buti can't seem to work out what i need to do! do i need to register Boston too? and what type of membership do i need?

i'm really confused lol :p
any help at all would be great!! :o thanks :)
 
i think you need the associate membership, for riders aged 17-18 on horses.

You need to register yourself and the horse, although if you register at 16 or under you need a parent/guardian to register too as a non competing member
 
Yes, you need the associate (17-18) membership as Kirsty+Java said, as although you are currently 16, BS takes your age as what age you will reach in the birthday of that year - in your case, 2011 is the year in which you turn 17 so you need the associate membership.

You'll also need to register your horse as a Grade C (assuming that he has no previous winnings), but I'm not sure about the ownership at your age - one of your parents might have to join as a non-jumping member to be the "owner" of the horse.

If you're not sure, call BS - they're really helpful :)

if your a Pony club member I'm sure they give some sort of discount - certainly at pony level. They also do offers for first time registers with grade C horses so worth an ask!
