Hi, I've just joined BSJA with my grade c horse. I'm finding it pretty confusing working out what I can and can't do!
Can someone explain to me the league system and how to get into a league, from what I can make of it the silver league may suit me most but I'm still unsure about that and also of how to and where to start. Are there certain league shows?
Also, this may be a silly question...can you compete in any area and still gain points etc ? I'm in powys shropshire but lots the shows are far away, gloucestershire and gwent contain more shows that are easier reached by me! Basically, are there any restrictions about where I can compete?

Sorry if I dont make sense!
Hope you can help, thanks :)

No restrictions on where you can compete. Points are done on placings and DCs. If your high up in them you get onto the league table, the top so many in bronze and silver i believe go through to semi finals and then the final is held at HOYS after that. If you jump out of bronze you are automatically in the silver leauge. If you are only just competing at 110 and not competitive i suggest jumping the bronze, as silver is 110-130 and very competitive, if you jump a 115 and place you are automatically in silver and can't come back down
