I've just treated myself to a nice new horse, he's a 4 yr old to make 15.2hh dark bay irish gelding, two tiny white socks and tiny white star. To look at he looks half dead, dope ona rope, but when he is under saddle he comes alive, moves as well as most high powered warmbloods and has a decent pop in him. I am smitten, but he has come over from ireland with no paper work whatsoever, and so I now have the difficult job of naming him! I want to reg. him BS asap and also have a decent name on his passport. BUT CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING! His stable name is Leo. He is very laid back, almost horizontal, but completely unphased by anything I've put him at, I had him under 24 hrs and took him to his first show, where he jumped double clear unaff. I'm thinking of possibly "London calling" as have had a couple of good horses with names related to the city, and he's just moved over from ire like some kind of passportless hobo. Any other ides? or something that denotes his hidden talent? You really wouldn't think he had any sort of engine at all to meet him in the box. HELP!!! I'm sending passport app off tomorrow so need some help pronto!

pippa funnel used to have a horse called designer tramp - i loved that name!

erm....failing that,

star city?
lions share?

both kinda relate to the leo bit? I'm rubbish at this.....

This is really difficult as the obvious ones like leo the lion are all taken on the bsja website, so its got to be really original!

London Eye
Heart Of London
Twilight Lights
Leading Leo
In The Lion's Eye
Little Leonardo
Last Leader
Mighty Courage
Lions Heart

Its all ive got :/ He looks amazing! And also in vote for London Calling

He was an impulse buy! I went to see a few horses at a dealer friend of mines place for a client, all a bit rough straight off the boat types, and picked him out as he's very nicely put together and trotted round the school like a seaside donkey for their rider (my client is v.nervous and wants a smart happy hack), nose poked out and looked a bit dead to the world. Loaded him up, got him home and she tried him that day, but didn't click as he's got quite big movement for his type, so I got on board and hey presto, he has gears I didn't think he had and really really tries and wants to learn. Took him to show the next day to see what he was all about and decided there and then he wasn't going anywhere!

How about Little Lion? I'm rubbish with names but I like London Calling & Impulse Buy.

He looks lovely. Good luck with him. Sometimes the ones you didn't go out looking for are the best finds.

I'm thinking Soho something, as Soho is in London and is thought to have been an old hunting cry.

So...

Soho Square
Soho Neon
Soho Espresso

Bit different! Plus it almost rhymes with Leo :D
