I'm sure I have asked this before, but I will again as I have a bad memory. If my mare has 285 actual and 283 notional, what BSJA classes can I do with her? (Bearing in mind I am wimp). Please explain in simple terms so maybe it will stay in my memory for more than 5 mins. Thanks

Your out of BN & Disc and if my memeory is correct you are nearly out of Newcomers too so that leaves Fox BUT there are loads of open classes that you can do and i think they start from 80cm.

You are just inside the Newcomers limit so can jump those, Foxhunter, Grade C, B&C, and any 'Open' section of a class that has one, plus all the Amateur Champs classes too

I don't know where you are in the country - Keysoe do open classes halfway in between the heights (95cm, 105, 115 etc).

Lots of places do an open section alongside the Disco / Newcomers (don't think I have actually seen an open BN).

Most show centres do open classes but i have seen the majority of them start at 1mtr so you may need to search round for somewhere that does them lower.

Where abouts in the country are you??

If you look on the BSJA website they will be able to tell you what show centres are in your area so you will be able to look up schedules etc

Thanks. I am in between Southampton & Portsmouth. There are a few centres round here, so I will have a look. Thanks for your help.

I guess Royal Leisure at Henfield would be a little too far for you ? They run a 1m Am Qualifier (Open to any horse), followed by a 1.05m Open and a 1.10m Am qualifier and 1.10m Open every sunday

In the winter yes, but in the summer I don't mind travelling. She's originally from that way, so will be like going home for her

. I might go to Bicton early in the year and see how that goes first.

Yes and Quob, I will have to find out. Also Hampshire Showground from April/May. Do I have to register with BSJA to get schedules or will the centres hold them?

If you look on the BSJA website they will often a listing of the schedule for each show. Look under Shows > Show Areas and then click on Area 43 (although having just looked they don't have many details for your area....it depends on the show centre

You've also got Medstead Grange...

Medstead have their own website. You might find it easier to do a Google search rather than use the BSJA links. Like other things on their website, their links to show centres aren't the most up to date!
