Ok, so i have searched the bsja website, and i cant seem to find the winning limits for each class. Eg £ needed to be out of b.nov, disco ect.

Also do you think this is fair.. My mare was jumping i holland, at 90cm/ 1m ( i think) it says b class?? and has 16 points. Does anyone know how this relates to here (eg how many points for a win ect?)

The bsja have just rang to say she will be graded with £125 on her card. I gave them emails from holland ect, but i was hoping i could do b.nov. Dont think this will be happening!

Thanks

Okay...Limits are as follows.

BN = £100
Disco = £175
Newcomers = £300
Foxhunter = £600
Grade C = £999
Grade B = £1999
Grade A = £2000+

Level B in Holland is 1m so they will give you a total out of BN...sorry.

Thanks Rambo,

You dont by any chance know what points equate to? Or can you understand her print out? Because i think she has 16 points, do they get them for being placed, clear rounds, both??

I can understand a KNHS printout but it won't tell you much more than the dates of shows and how many points they got and at what level. I think they get 1 point for a clear round and 2 for a DC although that might be wrong. I don't think they go against the clock at lower levels. Points don't equate directly to prize money over here I don't think...the BSJA just look at what the horse was jumping and award as much notional as to make that the minimum height they can jump over here. The printout will also list which discipline the points relate to...SG is Springen (Jumping) and IG is Dressage (No idea how that works !).

Bo was jumping Level M (1.20m/1.30m) when he left Holland as a 6yo and had about 40 points. He was given £500 Notional or effectively put out of Foxhunter at the time although they subsequently put the Fox limit up to £600 which meant he was briefly eligible again...until he won another £100 Notional here.

This is how they award points in Holland for each level:

Clear round = 2 winning points
Up to 4 faults = 1 winning point
From 4 to 16 faults = 0 winning points
More than 16 faults = -2 losing points
Fall from rider and/or horse = -2 losing points
Eliminated = -2 losing points

I hope this helps!

Thanks for that...very interesting ! And explains why Bo has one score of -2...I wondered what that was all about lol!

However, i'm not sure it's quite as simple as that either. Bo's record shows a Regional Champs show that I know he came 11th in with a DC...coz I found the result on the web

but his printout shows 0 points for that class on that day

That's strange about Bo's DC with no points, maybe the rules change for championships!
When are you competing again? We're going to Royal Leisure this Sunday.

LOL! There are a few strange things about the printouts...but on the whole the stories of what he HAS done and what I was told he had done do match up. I contacted his former owner in Holland to get her side of the story rather than just trust the dealer we got him from

She also explained what the different levels meant although she didn't explain how the points were won. Actually, i've just printed off the Springen Reglement from the KNHS website, and you are spot on with what you said

We're going to Felbridge on sunday...one of the last chances to qualify for the Area ABC Final
