A colleague is entering BSJA classes at Keysoe this weekend and it's the first time she has competed in many years. They are doing a non-members option where you can jump on a ticket (horse is BSJA registered, rider is not). Does she need to pre-enter or can she enter on the day?

Also, what should she wear? She has a tweed hacking jacket, beige jodhpurs and a black jodhpur boots with black gaiters. However, what can she get away with in terms of shirt? We are baffled in regards to collars, ties and stocks!

Any help much appreciated. :)

I don't pre-enter but I know a lot of people that do. If you definitely want to get in class it wouldn't hurt to pre-enter as some classes fill up very quickly.

Everything she plans to wear is fine. I've seen every shirt colour under the sun at BS so honestly you can't really go wrong shirt wise. Most people where stocks or nothing at all depending on the type of shirt (this is what I do cause I'm lazy) but some people wear ties.

If you wear a vest type shirt you have to jump with a jacket but if you have short sleeve or longer you can jump without jacket if it's really hot.

You don't have to pre-enter you can do that on the day.

Jacket, jods, boots and gaiters are all fine. Shirt has to be white or at least the bits you see have to be white. I just do the two top buttons up on the high collar, but you can wear a stock if you want to.

Hope this helps.
