BSJA record - how do I decode my pony's record?

Hello

I have my pony's old BSJA record and I would really appreciate some help in decoding it! I don't intend to compete him in affiliated competitions - I'm just interested in what some of the abbreviations mean and I haven't been able to find out on the BSJA website!

So, it says he was a grade JD but it's what the classes on his record mean that confuse me - so if he is a JD, what do classes JN, JF, BNOVJ, MJ, JO and JA/JC mean and what height of tracks would he have been jumping?

Also, whilst he has actual and notional winnings, he gained no points. Is that because he has no double clears (none are recorded for him)?

Thanks :)

JN = Junior Newcomers Height 1m
JF = Junior Foxhunter Height 1.10m
BNOVJ = Junior British Novice Height 80cm
MJ = Junior Members Cup not sure if they still run them and not sure height. May be 1m
JO = Junior Open Height limit determined by prize money
JC/JA = JC & JA handicap JC ponies would jump 10cm smaller than the JAs generally

You don't get points at BSJA it is Notional Prize Money that determines your eligibility for classes

He may have jumped double clears - depends how long ago the record goes back. They only record them for the "National Classes" e.g. British Novice, Discovery, Newcomers Foxhunter etc.

Thank you :-)

His record was from 1995 - 2001 (he's quite an old boy now!). Yes, I was a bit confused to see a JC/JA class on his record and his grade as JD - his notional winnings were £90 and he has no double clears recorded.

Back in the late 90's £90 would have made him JC (and I don't recall notional winnings happening until after that? They are certainly something that came along after I was jumping!) The JD bit means that if he was registered now that's what he would be.

Ah, I see. I accessed his record in 2011 out of curiosity so it may have been updated to reflect what it would mean today? Presumably they would have been able to calculate his actual winnings to reflect what would be his notional now?

His BSJA record says 142.2cm. The BE record is (according to his last owner) the same pony, although the stallion is Jackets Goldfinch, not Jackets Vagrant (Killusty Black Magic was only ever put to Jackets Goldfinch, and my pony's vet records were recorded in Ireland before he was imported).

Of course, there could be two Killusty Peter Pans who are both bay geldings born in 1988. He also has an FEI record https://data.fei.org/Horse/Detail.aspx?p=3C53F94A327BF409ACA1077891F07009 that puts him as 148cm. I've never measured him - I just assumed as most of the details matched up and there are no other ponies with the same name, date of birth and colour that it must be him, but if anyone could give me more info it would be much appreciated as I bought him in 2003 and don't have his full history.
