BSJA Registered Horses

I have just bought a BSJA registered horse that have some winning but not sure how much £50 i think. I am not BSJA registered and have no intention of doing so as i don't want to compete BSJA, can I still complete at local shows on a BSJA Registered horse?? I didn't think there would be a prob as i've never been registered at all? can anyone advise

Yes I think you can still compete unaffiliated (others please correct me if I am wrong!). Most unaff classes will stipulate that the horse is not to have won x amount of money etc. I bought my chap having done BSJA (BS) and took hin unaff as I didn't want to jump aff and I never had any problems. I think their registration runs out yearly anyway. Prob no help at all sorry!!
