Can anyone help me here?

Have had my passport returned as apparently there are not 5 distinguishing marks on the sketch, plus it hasnt been stamped by a vet, they have just signed it. So i only get a temporary registration!!!

Trouble is, havent a clue what i do now as i dont know which vets did the sketches, and for all i know it could be fake as havent had the horse for long??

So can i get a BSJA panellist to sign the passport, and who are they / where do i find them, and most importantly, how much will it cost???

so confused!!!!

Speak to your PIO (passport issuer), I have had in the past a vet come out and check the description of a horse and he signed, stamped and dated the previous description that hadn't been authorised correctly because he was satisfied it was the same horse. Also when I had an amendment done to a description of a youngster, the PIO got me to get my vet to check the description then add the amendment in the passport and sign, date and stamp it then I sent it in and they updated their records. Another idea is when you have your vet out to check the description, if he's happy, get the horse microchipped (cost about £20) and then the chip no goes in the passport and the BSJA should accept that as the chip no is unique to the horse.

A BSJA panellist will come out and fill in his/her own sheet - the person that came out to do mine had a quick look at my horse then took passport and went and sat in car and copied it all - complete waste of time and money if you ask me but i got my full registration! Think it was a tenner for them to come out and do that!

That sounds much cheaper than my way!

Think i may be better getting a panelist to do that then, as havent a clue where the original vets are!! Going to cost another tenner just to send the passport back again by recorded delivery, so the cheaper the better!!

She needs her vaccinations soon, so could get vet to chip her if the panelist isnt available!

Thanks for your help! Thought it was going to cost hundreds!
