BSJA Renewal

I cannot remember how much it was last year, has it gone up? Just received my renewal forms and it's £200 for me and the horse, which seems really steep.

Maybe it's just me being more aware of where my money goes, but won't be rejoining BSJA this year (or BE!), which is a shame, shall be sticking to unaffiliated

Mine has just come through, its £187. I'm debating at the mo what to do but think I'm going to re reg BSJA (as there is lots in my area) and do a few BE's on a ticket. Its the cost of doing events that is putting me off re reg BE and at least with BSJA I don't have to travel too far to compete and if the weather is foul I can just stay home!!!

I reg (thro BE) BD and am hoping my re reg for that can be a birthday present! We've been out twice and won £20 so I'm keen to continue!!!

Has it gone up do you know? Mine is £69 for the horse and £118 for me and I don't remember it being that much last year, but I could be completely wrong....

I've got a feeling it was about £180 last year?

Last weeks H&H had a bit about 'The Outlook for 2009', there was a graph showing BE increased entry fees by 10%, BD membership up 5% and BSJA membership up by 1.7%. So in the grand scheme of things BSJA isn't really that bad!!

tell me about it ! how is the average rider ever going to cover petrol and entry fees lest alone joining fees when price money is £12 -£30 (area 20)
