Does anyone know the rules on what riding boots you can wear bsja? Its been so long since ive done it i just found out its now called bs not bsja!

I have a beautiful pair of dark burgundy long leather riding boots in a crocodile effect leather and was going to buy a jacket and hat to match (not in crocodile effect!) From what i remember boots have to be black, brown or navy does anyone know if i could wear these burgundy boots?

Thank u!

Traditional style riding boots must be in plain black or black with mahogany or patent tops or plain brown or brown with patent tops. Traditional style leather jodphur boots in plain black or brown may be worn by Pony riders. Traditional style leather jodphur boots in plain black or brown may be worn with plain black or brown leather 'gaiters' cut in the traditional riding boot style with black or brown jodphur boots, respectively but not when red coats are worn.
Pony riders may also wear plain black or brown half chaps with plain black or brown jodphur boots, respectively.

I compete BSJA (we haven't quite gotten used to calling it BS yet!) pretty much every weekend, and although it may say the in the rule book you might want to call the BSJA and ask as every weekend we see more people with more extravagant boots and as far as I'm aware no one has ever been pulled up about it. Would be worth asking.

Yep would be worth an ask - saw somebody with the red tretorn boots at Norton Heath a couple of weeks ago!

BS? Seriously are you kidding me? Is this the new abbreviation? As in Bull S***. I've been away from riding for ten year prior to this may so I may be taking a joke a bit seriously here...

also i would say those are fine at a lower level they must look a brown colour and i dont think anyone minds!!

Friend of mine has blue crocodile skin ones x
