I have been to a couple of training sessions for the 1 star and had everything signed off but haven't actually sent it off to the BSJA yet *makes mental note to send the paperwork off*
All I did was filled in the theory questions myself, gave them to the accredited trainer who signed that off. Then she assessed my riding through the session and signed all the riding stuff off too

So you can just go to any accredited trainer for a lesson and do it at the same time?

Thats a good post. They were introduced with a big fanfare and have died a death. I haven't heard of anyone doing them and if they did I'm not sure either as to what the benefits are.

i have had bits and pieces signed off at 1* but like nomini have just never gotten around to sending it off to the bsja! Although even if i did im not sure as to the benefits... i think it was a half hearted attempt to the german way of affiliated competition and grading riders aswell as horses
