BSJA today (90cm 2nd rounds)

Went to Gracelands today to jump the 90cm second round and try and qualify for the finals. was very busy for Gracelands which usually has about 10 in a class

And the standard was pretty good!

Got there too early so watched most of the 90cm first round (which most people used as a warm up for the 2nd rounds), and there were some fast horses!

Anyway eventually my class started so got her tacked up. She was abit lazy, but she was jumping fine. Went clear in the first round *phew!* so now I had to wait for the jump off. About 20 people in the jump off- first two people in had the big planks down so i guessed a clear would qualify me. However the next few people in flew round and i thought, "I have no chance...". Was really nervous as I had my boyfriend watching me too so added pressure

But i needn't have worried

Went in and she was abit slow from 1 to 2 as she jumped the first one REALLY big, so it took me a while to recover and i didnt turn her quick enough so made it up in the next few turns and went into the lead

Unfortunately I got beaten into 2nd place, but i was still over the moon as there was some good horses there, so...

Bring on the finals

Anybody else from here qualified? Does anyone know where it might be? cos if its too far we wont go

Well done you! That was a lovely post to read. Ours qualified (the coloured in the pic) but was off lame up to last week so hasn't gone yet or we woul dhave been there prob toay trying to beat you!

Will have to do some persuading for mum to let me go to the finals, although the stabling seems reasonably cheap at Arena Uk so it might not be totally out of the question!

Well done you, Arena Uk shouldnt be to bad for you, it takes me 2hrs to get to broadway, or an 1 hours to get to arena UK, so will prob only take you 3hrs or so

It will be an expensive few days for us, the entry fees are pretty high, but mum said, "we'll think about it"
