Well a bit of a mixed day really.

Entered for the 1.05 and newcomers. Got on a bit later that I should have and people were hogging the fences and kept putting them up too quickly so I was already strssed that I wasn't going to get to jump before my round. Anyway, I was coming round on a circle on the left rein and another lady was cantering round towards me (on the opposite rein from everyone else which she always seems to do) so I thought "left hand to left hand so I'd better move over" but she kept coming probably thinking I was being rude and rode straight into my leg which really hurt.

She could easily have moved over a few inches as she had plenty room ( I noticed that her light coloured horse now had a black mark on his bum presumably off my boots which shows what a forse she rode into me). I burst into floods of tears and managed to jump a few fences as it was my turn to go in, I was also freaking out as mum hadn't got the video camera from the van. The lady at the door said I could have a bit longer as I was still crying but I went in anyway.
Monster pony jumped fab until the water tray which was under an oxer off a bit of a turn and decided to run out: I smacked him and he jumped round the rest of the course brill. On the bright side it meant I could have some time to calm down and he wouldn't get anymore notional for that class.
Got on for newcomers, he was being a bit strong in the warm up, but this time I got on far too early and I was worried I would overcook him. Went in for newcomers and muppet horse practically fell over the first fence so I thought " oh god this is going to be awful" but no he had to go and fly round the rest like it was a BN. Got ready to roar at him over the water tray this time but he didn't look at it! Only 2 made it into the jump off (one person retired and the other had 3 down) so was mega annoyed at him for tripping over the first little upright but at the dame time pleased with how he jumped the rest, he certainly doen't find the height difficult.
Still came third and as the day was sponsered still got prize money, a creme egg easter egg (which I've already eater half of) and a rosette the size of a dinner plate! So all on all not too bad a day

Have a look at newcomers video and keats forgetting to jump over the first!

He's 15.2 clydesdale X TB.
If you think that's strong you should see him xc! We had xc practise over show jumps yesterday and he was awesome but completely mental. Going xc for first time this season on saturday so that could be interesting!

Can't wait to get eventing cause I'm feeling so much more confident after our winter of BSJA. Just praying we don't get balloted from our first

You doing Fountain on Sunday? RHS qualifiers and I havent ridden my horse for 2 weeks, could be fun!!

You doing Kirrie?

Was quite busy. 1.10 open had a lot in it like normal, newcomers had 6 which is more than usual.

I'm entered for Kirrie intro (just to get us runnung) but I've heard that they are balloting

I'm seriously worried I won't get in. I see that you are entered, wish we were brave enough for novice!

Are they balloting??? All classes? They do seem to have decent entries. Yeah, I only entered today after renewing membership so its been an expensive day :P You've got me worried now, maybe I should try and email them a special ticket number...?!
