How did the vets visit for Ebs go?

I was wondering about that too. She has posted on here since the vets visit was due so hopefully will give us an update soon.

sorry, i havent seen this!
well we had the farrier at the weekend, and maybe he might know why somethings up as it might be something with er feet. he said cause she has flat heels and long toes, if her new shoes are late [like they were, due to farrier not picking up the phone!]
her toes get longer and it puts alot of presure on her heels, so making her quite foot sore, resulting in her feeling off on her front so we didt need to ring the vets the nexts day thanks to clever farrier

Ah ok, I was going to say if her feet are that bad after only a few days overdue then there might be a problem with the way she is being shod but if it's weeks then that explains it!

no, i was trying to think of someone who doesnt use theses farriers,cause most people in the area use them.. so was like panicing hate it when there late

Mine always books in his next visit when he comes to do our horses - that would be a better idea and then you wouldn't need to chase to try to book the next apt

They dont do that?, you just book when you need them coming, but yes we are going to phone them this week and book it in for 4 weeks time x

That's great if you can pre-book but my old farrier would never take your next booking. You just had to call him 'nearer' the time to arrange it - and then would struggle to get hold of him!! I took to calling about 2 wks before he was due but even that didn't always work!

thats what ours does!!, i have no idea if i can pre book him, but its worth a try?

Glad you found the problem our farrier lets us pre-book which is so much easier for my mum as then she can leave that day free as im normally at college

My farrier will let you book in advance, he may however give me a call to ask if he can juggle other visits that are near me so he is not driving in opposite directions on the same day.

Crendon Farriers (Daniel, Sean or Luke) will book us in in advance - we always book the next visit when they're there with us! They've always been pretty easy to get hold of...
