We've had a schedule for a local small agricultural show, which includes some BSPS classes, although it seems to indicate that you don't have to be members to enter. We'd really like to try Intermediate Show Riding Type with our novice mare as we think she'd fit into this category quite well because she fits the height restrictions and my daughter is under 25.
We are fairly new to affiliated showing and are members of the BSPS, but don't currently have a height certificate. I've tried to ring the secretary several times but can't seem to reach her by 'phone and the closing date for classes is on the 15th.
Does anyone know if its OK to enter these classes without a height certificate? We're not trying to skip the system or anything; we just want to give the class a try as we fit the criteria. I was just wondering, in the unlikely event of an objection, if we'd get into trouble for not having the height certificate.
A response from someone "in the know", would be appreciated.
