Bsps registration question

Just looking into getting a height certificate sorted to register my chap with the bsps and it occurred to me, do I need to know my boys parentage? His passport is blank, the only thing on there is his name and microchip number. Even his marking page is blank and a vet has still signed it off. He is from Ireland. Will this affect me wanting to register him?

You'll need a marking chart done but the lack of back breeding won't preclude him from being registered.

Ok, il have the vet do it when they are next out. Do I send it off with his passport back to the issuers and they change it? It's all laminated and in his passport with a vet signature but nothing on it! I'm abit apprehensive about sending his passport to Ireland!
