my ponys bit (3ring copper lozeng gag) has given him bruises in his mouth
will this be hurting him when im riding and what can i do or put on it to heal it

yes it will b hurtin when ur riding him! infact i would have tought he will b very uncomfortable!! mayb try using a hackamore until the brusing has gone, but be carefl as a hackamore is quite severe!! then mayb think about changing bits if the gag has done that 2 his mouth.
 
thanks but he hasnt shown any discomfort i only realised when i picked a thorn out of his lip is there anything i can put on it and i dont want 2 resort to hakamores as hes a show pony

tbh it sounds like you'll have to give his mouth time to heal! if there are bruises then he couldn't be happy with the bit...try a few- maybe get an experts opinion...
