She clearly has no knowledge of dogs or dog training to treat a dog like that. I fear for any animals in her care. She needs some advice from a good dog trainer before she damages that dog.

the rspca needs to be told. if she posts this sort of thing publicly and thinks its funny who knows what she does in private. also does anyone know of any journalists in the tabloids> maybe the daily mail could run a stry on this.

I reported this last night on Insta, its disgusting. Anyone who can drag a dog by the neck and think its funny should never have animals in their care, whether its a dog, 5* event horse or goldfish.

The caption made it seem that the dog doesnt enjoy going eventing, well, its not rocket science, if the dog doesnt like it, dont take it. Shes not exactly a one man band, there will be people at home to look after the dog, so just leave it home.

Her name rings a bell for some other poor form, to do with her riding I think? Some not so great horsemanship from what I remember.

I didn't see it as refused to subscribe, but her team strategically used a flag to get a lame horse through a trot up at either Badminton or Burghley and he struggled then I think she was quite rough with him on reading the comments

She presented a clearly lame horse with a head nod for the final trot up pre the SJ at Burghley 2022. The horse was sent to the holding box for examination by an event vet. Despite still being unlevel when presented for a second look, the Ground Jury passed the horse as fit to continue.

She then aggressively ragged an uncomfortable horse round the SJ. Her riding was not pleasant to watch. Normally a careful jumper, he had 4 down.

A very poor display all round.

I saw the lameness and cringed at her awful showjumping round but didn’t know about the trick with the flag. What did she do?

It was really bad, no doubt nothing will come of it of course 🙄

Maybe it will - she is still young and thinking that’s acceptable is a cultural thing (and therefore reflects badly on her family). So maybe this is a start of her being more aware and starting to grow up.

Not sure if it’s true but I was told by a ‘family friend’ her family sold their family farm for development, and have shed loads of money, and she has been allowed to grow up in a ‘rich girls’ bubble. So I hope this will start to fill in gaps in her education

Whilst I wholeheartedly agree with the comments about the dog video, there are other completely unnecessary comments on this thread. There have been numerous threads over the years about the horse world being a bitchy place and some of the comments support this.

I don't know her. I don't know or care if she's had a privileged upbringing or not. I heard about the vet inspection but didn't witness it. I did see her being harsh with her hands once. She's extremely talented and hard working as is anyone who gets the success she has had. She has a lot of pressure on her, is fiercely competitive and is very young. Many other riders (+ all other types of people in the public eye) have made mistakes in their youth. We are perhaps lucky that the majority of us aren't on film when things don't go quite as we would wish either in terms of our riding; results or our behaviour.

Whether she likes it or not she's now a role model. Someone maybe ought to tell her what that involves.

I honestly don't care if she's talented and hard-working, has pressure put on her and/or is young, anyone who treats a dog the way she did in that video (and other stories of how she treats her horses) deserves zero respect.

I can, hand on heart, say I have never dragged a dog by its neck or ragged a lame horse.

This has angered my beyond belief. No animal what ever excuse may be given deserves to be dragged along like that. Absolutely vile behaviour and I hope the company's that support her will not be in support of her actions
