Reason I'm asking, I bought a second hand one off eBay a couple of years ago with a view to selling it on. As it is, I've still got it but cannot find what weight it is (grams). I remember looking on the Bucas website last year but it wasn't listed as current stock then. It must be one that was available 3 or 4 years ago. It's a silver coloured rug with the woolly red lining and FIXED neck cover. It's definitely a heavyweight rug but I just wondered if anyone knew the gram weight. If it's likely to be 420g or something that heavy I'll sell it on as it'll be too warm for my horse to ever want. Shame, as said filly has now grown into it!

What size is it?
To be fair the old Power rugs had a huge temperature range that they covered from -25 to 13 (that'll be the difference between a Scottish and an English winter!!!!!!) although to be fair only got to -18 last year.
If it's in my size I may be interested in it (just incase she bursts the other one)

I'm pretty sure it's a 6'6 which is perfect for my filly now but on getting it down from storage and handling it, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a really heavyweight version. Looking on the Bucas website that suggests it could be 420g

I know the whoolly lining is supposed to offer climate control but still.... it does seem a very warm rug. I've a horse which gets excited at bring-in time and often comes in sweated up and steaming wearing just a medium weight turnout in the coldest weather. Then again, this will be the first year she's going to be clipped so I dunno what to do. *Scratches head* Just don't know whether to try it later on in the year once she's clipped or just sell it on now as 'brand new' and opt for a lighter weight version which I KNOW will be okay.
