My boy has always had horseware rugs as I know they fit him as a high withered TB. I've been looking at the bucas zebra fly rugs as he is very attractive to flies unfortunately, but I'm not sure how bucas rugs fit in comparison to horseware?

I have a high withered ISH, Horseware rugs don't fit at all - far too small around shoulders. I have the Bucas Irish turnout, a wonderful rug, beautiful fit, gathered all around the neck. I'd say the sizes are generous, mine is usually a 6'6" in combo's but 6'3" is perfect (has a detachable neck).

If you are looking for a rug with a similar fit to Horseware, then try Maxima Equestrian (I know they do a zebra fly rug). All our horses are in either Horseware or Maxima and both are a similar fit.

I can't speak for the fly rugs but find that the Bucas turnouts fit better on my more TB build horses than the wider warmbloods - although they do do an extra large neck (which I don't have). I agree that you certainly won't need to go up a size.

I love their Power turnouts (silver rug).

I love Bucas rugs and I have bought the summer turnout. The fastening and the shaping at the front is brilliant for ensuring a good fit across the chest. I have a winter turnout too. They fit my pony so much better than other rugs because she has a narrow neck and shoulders so other rugs with a V shape at the front tend to gape.
