hiya all, do they come up big or standard? Have found one at a very good price but only 7' left! My youngster is wearing 6'9 masta and amigo, but bought a 7' landa to grow into and it's mahooosive!! Just wondered how bucas rugs compared????
 
I had Bucas rugs on my daughter's 14hh pony who was a WB and very slim with hardly any shoulder - these were the only ones that fitted him well around his front end. So I would say, in his case, they came up slim.
 
I think they are pretty much spot on with sizing. I use them all the time for my five horses. My 17.2hh warmblood wears a 7'. He is a big lad too. Excellent rugs though.

this is why i'm thinking 7' might prove to be too big, he'd take a 7' horsewear rug (which seem to come up small) but he should only mature at 16.3 (maybe push 17hh) (lol, I say only!! but incomparison to 17.2!!) oh well, as it's such a good price i'll order it, if he doesn't grow into it, will ebay it!! same as the landa I got!! thanks peeps! x
 
excellent rugs.. my CB x TB is has large shoulders tho not hugely broad across the cheast.. the horseware rugs are too small around her shoulders and rub something rotten whereas the Bucas don't rub.. partly as they are darts on the shoulders.. incidentally you can get a front insert which substantially broadens the front portion across the cheast. They also do large neck sizes.
 
I got a 6ft 9 a few years ago and it is spot on.

I bought another 6ft 9 last year and it came up big, but not too bad.

If it's a good price - then go for it. They're too good not to snap up - especially with the sub-zero temperatures we get nowadays.
 
My horses only wear bucas. They are fab rugs. Having said that they are all quite fine types. Think they come up to size but as other say are slim on the chest but thats perfect for my girls :)
 
Approx what size turnout rug should I be buying my daughter's 3yr old. He is 3/4 TB and 1/4 irish. He is 16.1hh at the mo. He is Jay in the sig below.

I will measure him soon, but a general guide please.
