I took my 5 yo horse cross country schooling last night for the first time since I got him over 3 months ago. He's very green so I just trotted him over the 2 foot jumps which he did with ease and seemed to be enjoying himself. I was absolutely thrilled with him but then after we had been there for about 20 minutes he put in a massive buck after a jump which I wasn't expecting as he had been fairly calm over the previous jumps. I tried him over another and he did the same so I called it a day. Do you think it was over exhuberance as he was enjoying it so much and is he likely to continue doing this? I'm now a bit worried about jumping him as I don't want to come off!
