I'm gutted today my daughter rode she got on really well then as she asked her to canter she chucked her head up and went into a very fast canter so I got on she trotted lovely then when I asked her to canter she did a buck then a rear and buck then bolted down the school I only managed to stop her by pulling her into a tight circle at first I thought it must be the saddle but when I've not been able to ride I've been lunging her and again when I've asked her to canter she put in a buck in I thought she was just being fresh but I'm really worried I've messaged the ostiopath to get him out and thd saddle fitter any ideas would be greatly appreciated
 
Hmm, does sound as though there’s something going on with her back. You are right to be checking out her saddle too.
 
Echo equi, I’d be wanting the vet to check the back and do a proper lameness workup. Depending on what’s been found, you can then embark on treatment.
I personally prefer physios to chiropractors or osteopaths, mainly because horse physios have gone through person physio training, which is a degree programme, and then sub-specialise into horses. They should also be able to give you a programme of structured exercise to strengthen weak areas and build up general resilience.

Is this your Conni x ISH mare? You seem to have had rather a catalogue of problems with her. Absolutely yes vet - but from all the other posts it does read as if this was something that has been brewing for some time with her not being happy in her back or mouth. I wonder if you might need to sit down with a suitable professional and really go through everything to try to figure out what is causing the problems. It isn't likely to be just one thing I'm afraid.

You have to rule out pain first - and I would opt for vet first. Like the above poster I prefer a physio to anything else because of the level of qualifications and accreditation - but there are good Osteo / chiros out there. She sounds like she is in and out of work so perhaps a saddle check too as she may have changed shape since the last time?
 
Thank you for your advice I'll get the vet out this week yes I've had lots of issues with her and I just thought we'd got everything sortedbut hopefully we can get to the bottom of it I've got my phsyo coming Tuesday so I'll start with her
