Daisy has an annoying habit of almost always bucking for the first few strides when we gallop out on a hack. She does then tend to settle but it takes alot of the fun out of it. I don't mind the odd 'weehee' buck but she gets her head right down and its a bit hairy. She doesn't come close to unsettling me *thank God for evil RS ponies* but I'd rather she didn't do it. We're going hunting for the first time ever next week and I would love it to be a nice calm, sensible affair with me in complete control.
Any tips or do some horses always just do this?
