Hello evryone i hope you have had a good start to the year.

I just was thinking of something to post and ( Bucking ) came to my mind.

I have a Welsh section D mare who wasn't ridden before i got her so i backed her and she has already been out and about and has been brilliant i adore her!
One thing i have always wondered can horse just buck for no reason?
I had the saddler out who recomended a extra wide gullet ( white ) wintec.
Witch would raise it slightly causing it not to pinch ect, i have seen what saddler was saying and i do see some difference but she has bucked since the change.
I was just wondering peoples opinions weather horses can just buck for the sake of it.
Thankyou For Reading Michael and Rosie

Sorry i'm not sure if you mean she bucked before the change? If not then I think a re-visit from the saddler is called for. Make sure they have a good reputation locally.

If she has always bucked and you have had back/teeth etc checked reguarly, maybe she is just exited, bored, scared of something..many endless reasons! Is she a laid back type or a more exited type?

One of mine will buck down the field at walking pace simply because he can, but I think that if he started bucking under saddle after a change in his tack, I would get it re-checked.

She is ten and she bucked before the change of gullet and once after change i no its only ( once ) but i just wonder if some horse just buck.. ?
She is hard to explain she can be slighlty ploddy but can be sharp.
Maybe saddle re checked it is.
Thankyou for advice :D

Well if she is sharp maybe thats just it, exited, spooks, some horses do just buck for fun. One horse I rode bucked if the rider didnt sit well, if they bumped about after a jump or something. Still get regular back and teeth checks :)

If your mare didn't buck before but has started to now since you have had saddle alterations then please do get your saddle/horses back double checked both with the same fitter and a back person, use the two together to get a better picture.

You won't be the first and certainly won't be the last to go out your way to pay a professional saddle fitter to fit you with a saddle....that doesn't fit.

They don't get it right every time unfortunately, despite their training, qualifications and good intentions, they are not miracle workers and there will be odd times when they make the wrong decisions and it's not until your horse lets you know that something is not quite right.

Could be something or nothing but I'd have my suspicions if she's only just started bucking since changing your saddle etc.
