In september I am going to be working at Pinewood Studios and I was wondering what the best yard was close to there.

Only trouble is I will be working silly hours (as filming) so I will be looking for.....

Part livery, somewhere with turnout and a horsewalker, preferably where I can go and ride at 7 - 7.30 in the evenings, sometimes maybe later, which will do Full livery with exercise whilst I am away on location (maybe for a month or more)

Prefer the yard to run BSJA shows and have an indoor school but that is a bonus.

All this and it will only be from September till June/July whilst we are filming then when I go back to London I can take him home....

Am I being totally unrealistic?

Hiya, I am stabled about 10 mins from Pinewood at Wild Farm

www.wildfarmequestrian.co.uk

it's a lovely yard, no horsewalker but they do part and full livery and are all lovely there.
Also South Medburn is about 10mins away in Elstree, I used to be stabled there, big yard, great facilities but quite pricy.

There is also Hill Farm just across the road from me and Houndswood next door. PM me if you want any info about wild farm

There are quite a few yards in the Maidenhead area which is about 15 minutes from Pinewood (Iver). I am sure there are some right near Iver and am racking my brains (what is left of them) - it has been several years since I lived in the area, but there were several shows we used to go to near there. The Maidenhead ones may be of more interest as you can have everything from full show livery (our yard for example), to total DIY livery.

Ah ha ok how about Snowball Farm at Burnham Beeches! not sure how far away that is but I know it's not far from Maidenhead and knowing my luck it's going to be in the wrong Fcuking direction! runs for cover back under rock!

The absolute best yard in the Maidenhead area is Cliveden Stud, where my boy lives. Beautiful place, lovely paddocks, huge stables, run by BHSI and BE Accredited trainer. Super staff - always cheerful and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. Does full (with exercise/schooling) and part livery (no DIY). Horses get the best 5* care - I simply cannot fault them on anything!

Has a horsewalker, nice outdoor manege, and a roundpen/lunging-ring. No indoor school, though. Snowball Farm for showjumping is within easy hacking distance.

PM me for contact details if you're interested...
