Budget Beekeeper style fly mask!

I think Kraemer and a few other places here are starting to make bee keeper style masks with prices lower than Rambo. I wanted one but I'm not sure if it'd be tricky to get a halter on and off over one as my horse is brought to and from his field by staff at the yard.

The best ones I've found are the Premier Equine lycra Comfort tech. Only £13, breathable, big googly bits over the eyes and they stay on!

I have one from Kramer and its great. My horse came in with one eye swollen shut and I needed to keep him from rubbing it/flies away and this fly mask did the trick perfectly. He usually removes fly masks (seems to hate them) but he kept this one on so I guess it was comfortable for him too!

I managed to get a Rambo one on offer so it didn't break the bank - but good to know there are other options for when this one inevitably gets destroyed ?

I need a fly mask that horse can’t trash. He keeps trashing his PE ones as he is very itchy.l I also need it to cover his pink nose and his ears (he has warty ears). Not too big an ask is it?

That's helpful to know, thank you! Currently have a horse that will only wear a beekeeper mask so good to know I won't have to fork out for a Rambo for the next one.

The IDx mare hated her Rambo beekeeper fly mask with a vengeance, so I passed it on to the senior mare. Senior mare soon worked out that she could use it to aid her ‘head butting under the electric fence to get to the long grass‘ escapades.

It’s now hanging up in the tack room, unused.

i have the Rambo one and get a head collar on over it. It has to be done the old fashioned way and on its last hole but it can be done.

Not laughing! Not at all...
Alf is very good with his stuff - wears anything without complaining, and doesn't remove things/trash things/lose things.
None of the others deserve nice things - I can no longer count the number of fly masks I have found hanging by their ears in the hedge - and we won't even talk about a certain mare who has just been bought a brand new wardrobe of rugs - because she has reduced every single rug she owns to rags
