I am looking for a new jumping saddle for my 15.2hh ISH mare, she is fairly broad but not fat. I love the barnsby gp that I currently use but I find the cantle is just to high to jump with over larger fences. Also I like to ride with short stirrups so I need something that has very forward flaps to accomodate for my long legs. I don't have a lot of money to spend, maximum £700 at a push, so I need some advice on good brands/models to look out for. I wouldn't mind a second hand saddle as I know it will be almost Impossible to find a decent leather saddle for under £1000! :(
Any suggestions???

Have you tried the Kent & Masters saddles? I think a new jumping saddle would be around £700 & I think you can have the size of the flap altered for no extra cost. You'd be able to get a second hand Albion K2 for your budget

Look at second-hand John Whitaker and Pessoa saddles they're fantastic to ride in and a lot of the John Whitaker saddles are based on Prestige saddles! You should be able to pick up for under £700 no problem! I adore the Pessoa AMO saddle to ride in it's so comfy and non-restricting! :) Hope you get something sorted

You could go second hand and find something for under your budget easily... Al has an Albion Legend, which cost £400 odd, and we recently sold a Collegiate jumping saddle for £350. Second hand leather saddles tend to be under your budget, unless you're going for the very elite brands :)

great will do! I was dreaming about a pessoa as I've riden a few different showjumpers in them, and found that my lower leg was very well suppoted yet I was not restricted in any way. So to be able to get a decent second hand one would be awesome! :)

lolo, no I'm not looking for anything to elite just something that's still fairly smart I did find a near new albion the other day for only £350 yet it wouldn't fit my nag :( many thanks I'll keep searching!
