Saturday was Bud's first proper outing since going lame end of April, and i was quite nervous/excited even though it was only local unaf dressage.
I forgot how smart he looks all clean and plaited up and was so pleased and proud to back out with him.
He was actually quite well behaved and didn't bronk in the warm up.
First we did P10 and even though he dropped off my leg ar usual in the test he was worked quite well for him i got after him on the 2nd canter across the diagonal so Bud thought he would show off by doing a flying change!! Overall i was quite pleased but there was plenty of room for improvement.
He then had little break, then back out for N21. Mum decided i didn't ride hard enough - so with gritted teeth i set about working harder - he went alot better! even did a cracking medium trot, i was really pleased.
Finally scores were up and we ended up with 68.6% (i think) in P10 and came 2nd, quite surprised and very pleased - he got a 4 for his chnage or we might have won!
In the N21 he got 74%!!!! i couldn't believe it, don't think i've ever scored that well on any horse so huge smile, we won! got trophy too..... 8 for his medium which is such a goal and 8 for paces and my riding and other movements i was just so proud!
I have worked hard on his dressage and it usually lets him down, but he has now proved he is more than capable we just both have to work harder!

Next aim OPN at Stafford - fingers crossed!!
