Buffy - post op advice?

She is supposed to be taking it easy and doing "limited exercise" to help her heal, but she's not getting it!!! As soon as she came out of the vets she was totally hyper (as usual!

) and I'm a bit worried she's doing too much too soon!!

If anyone knows about this stuff, what are we supposed to do with her and when can she go back to playing/walks as usual??

She's a very clever dog and thinks we have the evils for her.... she's thinking along the lines of "THEY took me to a nasty place where I had to have an operation and then sleep IN A CRATE and now they WON'T EVEN PLAY WITH ME OR TAKE ME FOR A WALK!!!

When any of mine have had surgery I have always brought them into the house. This is a treat for my dogs but they know how to behave themselves indoors so don't move around. I tend to leave them to sleep and once in a while I will take them out for a quick wee-wee. I don't need leads on mine as again they are calm when I walk quietly with them, but if your little Buffy is bouncy it might be sensible to put her on a lead for the next few days.

Hope she is feeling better soon - sounds like she is feeling better already

I meant to ask u...but have not been on much...as had the sh*ttiest weekend of my life this weekend

In regard to the post op care...as TIA suggests gentle exercise and try not to let her jump up and down to much i.e on and off the settee

if she gets on there...as this can stretch/burst the internal stitches...and dont let her lick at the op site.
Keep us informed after her check up

She's been jumping around quite a lot....

Stitches seem to be healing ok though.
