Has anyone used an Amigo Bug Rug ???? I found then in a sale and not sure whether to get one for our pony who gets mild sweet itch. She managed last year with no rug, but used d-itch and then had to bath at least once a week.

Got two for mine and found them good. Would recommend a size bigger than usual though, and i leave the bottom neck fastening undone on my mare as it is a bit tight otherwise (though if you get a size bigger you might not have to, I didn't but wish i had)

I dont know about amigo bug rugs - I have tried loads of other sorts and have found boetts to be the best. Mine was worn solidly for the whole season last year and only has a coupler of tiny plucks - they are exspensive but are a long term investement. Also you dont need any lotions and potions, they keep the sun off and keep them clean (great if you have a mostly white skewy)

Couldnt agree more. Boett are expensive, but again no lotions or potions, they dont slip and are the best. My shire has been in them for 3 years now. You can ride with them on (if you wish to).
