So in preparation for yesterdays local show following my week working abroad then a week not doing loads as he needed shoeing, we went for a long but steady hack on friday, jumped at home then hacked to show ground to school (which did not go too well) and home again saturday. Show sunday which was not too physical but taxed him mentally.
Today we went for a long hack mainly trot with a couple of canters and a walk down a bridleway.
The walk was forward and willing, with only a couple of niggles, trot was confident and relaxed and the canter was smooth with no bucking leaping or back humping, calm steady with self carriage on a relaxed rein. Awesome hack. The bridleway was so overgrown he had to duck in places so I was lying no his neck and still he behaved.
Took b1 same hack after and she was awesome too. Great long weekend now back to work tomorrow. Hoping buglet has reformed but guessing he's just tired! Pointless but proud post.
