Building a derby course

I am hoping to use the top soil from building my arena to build a derby course. I am guessing this will require planning permission. Has anyone had any experience of doing this and did you have any problems?

we used the top soil from the water jump we made to build a bank/hill/irish bank type thing, but is wide enough to put a jump on top if we wish. we didnt need any planning though

i would suggest that you build it now and let it settle and reseed so come spring is ready to use

Thanks. Did you use any supports/frame for it or did you just mound it up and compress it all down?
